The Department of Finance (DOF) believes that all Filipinos would have been vaccinated by January 2022.

According to Finance Sec. Carlos Dominguez III on Thursday, there is a specific vaccine to carry it out.

"We have secured 194.89 million doses. Ito can actually vaccinate 100 and a half million people," he said.

Dominguez also stated that the supply came from donations, private sector purchases, and government purchases.

"Ang total cost to the government po so far ay $1.302 billion. This will cover 170 million doses from the government, 24 million doses for the private sector," he pointed out.

Dominguez added that as of September 30, another 42.11 million doses are expected to arrive and an additional 103.59 million doses from October to December.

"Actually we are expecting roughly 50 million doses a month from September to December. If that happens po, siguro by January we should have been able to inoculate everyone po. Wala po tayong problem sa pera. May financing na po iyan, as we don’t have to worry about money here. We already have the money, ready to be paid for these doses," he explained.

Meanwhile, in the report of vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., more than 42 million doses of the 48.8 million doses obtained by the government have already been deployed at various vaccination sites in the country.
