After cashing in his Money in the Bank, Big E vanquished Bobby Lashley on this week's Monday Night Raw to become the WWE Champion for the first time in his career inside the TD Garden in Boston.

Lashley had already successfully defended his title against Randy Orton moments before, giving the New Day member the perfect opening to fulfill his intention, which he made clear before the show.

"Let’s let that cat out of the bag… I intend on cashing in my Money in the Bank contract tonight and cashing in to become WWE Champion," penned E on Twitter hours prior to the show.

He is now the second member of the New Day to possess the title in his hands.

Orton attempted an RKO late in the match, only for Lashley to chop him in half with a Spear for a long two count.

Orton then escaped and nailed the RKO before Lasley recovered, delivered another spear following MVP's outside interference.

In the post-match beatdown, Lashley apparently tweaked his knee, cueing Big E to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Following a brief exchange, Big E ultimately ended Lashley’s reign with his "Big Ending" finishing move before the ovation of the rowdy Boston crowd.

"I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about the moment," said E at the post-show Raw Talk alongside his brother-in-arms.

"I’m so happy right now, man. This is incredible," former WWE champion Kofi Kingston said of his long-time comrade.

"This man has been fighting for this for I-don’t-know-how-long," followed the loud Xavier Woods.

Big E won his Money in the Bank privilege last July, while Lashley wrapped up his reign at 194 days.
