Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat urged the public to report incidents of quarantine protocol violations after another returning Filipina from the United States escaped from the mandatory quarantine.

According to Romulo-Puyat, the unnamed violator posted photos of her getting a massage after arriving in the country and went straight to her condominium after her massage.

“After this incident, somebody gave the name and even gave pictures na the day she arrived, nagpamasahe pa as in she was even posting it on Instagram stories,” the tourism secretary said.

She also confirmed that the violator has been captured and that the department leaves the investigation up to the Bureau of Quarantine as well as the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The reported quarantine breach is the second quarantine violation after the quarantine escape of returning Filipina from the U.S. Gwyneth Ann Chua, or more popularly known as “Poblacion Girl,” from the Berjaya Hotel, who later tested positive after partying at a Makati club.
