The NorMin Stars shone brightly under the cloudy skies of the Marikina City Hall after dominating the school and junior boys age classifications on the final day of competitions.

Harleye Christian Jake Porres (light flyweight) and Christian Pador (light bantamweight) set the tone for Region 10’s boxing campaign by clinching golds apiece in the junior boys division. Pador, in particular, scored three knockout wins en route to his bantamweight gold.

Student sluggers in the school boys division also made a strong presence, thanks to Andrei Jc Alexi Alava and John Michael Estorba’s silver finishes in the pinweight and light flyweight tilts, respectively.

Jerome Cometa (flyweight) and Maddux Vlademir Viajante (bantamweight) wound up Region 10’s boxing medal haul by collecting bronze medals for their home region.

Meanwhile, SOCCSKSARGEN finished second overall with two golds and one silver medal. The Region 12 sluggers nearly swept the youth boys category with golds in minimumweight and flyweight divisions.

Western Visayas then completed the podium by snatching one gold, one silver, and five bronze plums. Zamboanga Peninsula and Davao Region sit at joint fourth place with one gold, silver, and bronze medal each.
