New products under Meta have been announced and which said company plans to release next few years.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed his ambition to cement Meta as a frontrunner in the digital innovation and technology world.
One of the showstoppers of the event was the anticipated introduction of Meta Quest 3S–the new flagship mixed reality (MR) headset from Meta, and a worthy opponent to Apple’s Vision Pro.
The Quest 3S is priced from 300 to 400 dollars, or 17,000 to 23,000 pesos, and is set to debut on October 15.
The headset adds a layer of technology to visual reality, and offers a high quality environment for gaming, work, and entertainment.
Zuckerberg said that the older models, including the Quest Pro, are currently being phased out as the Quest 3S will take the spotlight.
Presented along the Quest 3S includes the new Meta Horizon operating system.
Meanwhile, another futuristic pitch from Meta was the Orion artificial reality (AR) glasses prototype, which allows users to see virtual elements overlaying in the surroundings.
Additionally, Orion AR integrates apps such as Whatsapp and Messenger, both being under Meta.
Meanwhile Meta updated its current product, the Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, to include hands-free music control, voice-activated QR code scanning, and real-time language translation, with more updates expected to roll out by 2025.
These innovations may be the next major face of the digital world incorporating everyday fashion to the globalization of AI technology and advancement.
For social media, Meta also aims to make their Instagram reels AI-powered.
Using AI, Meta’s proposed offering will automatically dub reels in different languages of preference to impact a global audience–and lessen language barriers in diverse audiences.
The company introduced LLAMA 3.2 which allows users to interact with Meta apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp using celebrity AI voices like Taylor Swift or John Cena.
The products made and presented by Meta aim to highlight their goal of mixing and blending our realities with AI.
Having access to tech experiences paves way to a more immersive and interactive experience with the said players and users of the game and product–and helping AI emerge as a dominating force in our current technology landscape.
