Protesters used the images of a ‘squid’ to describe the explanation of VP Sara regarding the confidential funds of her office’s expenditure in 2022, which stirred heated discussions among the House of Representatives budget hearing.

The protesters carried the rally in front of the House of Representatives to impeach VP Sara following her proposal for the 2025 budget.

The ACT Teachers Party List Representative France Castro also implicated the answers of VP Sara in the questions about the Commission on Audit’s (COA) findings as ‘squid tactics’.

The lawmakers urged Duterte to end her tactics and clearly explain the P500 million, and P237 million expenses by her office based on the COA’s report.

Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan said, “Hindi pwedeng ang impeachment pag-usapan sa kalsada.”

He reminded protesters that the process of impeachment is a complex process and in-depth discussions has to take place before it is finalized.

In the recent Peñafrancia Festival in Naga City, House Deputy Minority Leader France Castro accused the vice president that she was just distracting Filipinos using her techniques.

This was raised by Castor because Duterte made a surprise visit to the house of former Vice President Leni Robredo.
