She Zhijiang, a gambling tycoon currently detained in Thailand over human trafficking and online scam allegations in Southeast China, spoke exclusively with Al Jazeera in the documentary titled “She Zhijiang: Discarded Chinese spy or criminal mastermind?”.

A dossier, given by She to Al Jazeera, showed different information about Guo Hua Ping, the Chinese name of Alice Guo, one of which was her local address in Fujian province that turned out to be the local address of the Communist Party of China.

Guo allegedly asked She to fund her campaign to which he declined saying he didn’t want to offend the government of the Philippines.

“China cannot be trusted. The two of us once dedicated our lives to China’s Ministry of State Security, look at what happened to me,” She’s message to Guo about China.

He also warned Guo to tell the world the truth if she doesn’t want to be eliminated.

She revealed that he was recruited as a spy in the Philippines by a certain ‘man’ who is unidentified by Al Jazeera in the documentary,  back in late 2016.

“He came with an arrest warrant with my name on it and said he could get rid of the case for me, the Ministry of State Security can do it,” She said referring to the unidentified man who allegedly recruited him as a spy in exchange for the cases he was facing back in China.

Guo denied these allegations when the House quad committee showed the documentary to her on September 27.

“Your honor, unfair naman po sa akin, hindi ko po siya kilala, at never po akong humingi ng campaign funds…Gusto ko rin pong iparating sa lahat ng kababayan ko at buong Pilipinas…hindi po ako spy, totally hindi po, hindi po ako spy,” Guo explained on the House quad committee meeting.

She wanted to press charges against She with his allegations, but the House declined her request as She is currently detained in Thailand.
