Lopez is transferred from the House of Representatives to the Women’s Correctional Facility in Mandaluyong City through a house order addressed to House Sergeant-at-arms Napoleon Taas and signed by committee chairman Manila Representative Joel Chua.
On a Twitter (X) post from Bea Pinlac of GMA Integrated News, the order was read twice in front of Lopez and Vice President Sara Duterte
“I have my rights as a detainee in this facility. Respect that and I told them to go out”, Lopez said in a press conference via Zoom as nine people including policemen served the transfer order.
She also added that it was a “threat” to her life as members of the Philippine National Police barged into her facility.
“What happened was naka pajama na kami and we’re going to sleep, and they banged at my door and they just entered, because in this facility the lock is outside”, she explained this statement regarding several men entering into her detention room with VP Duterte.
“This country is going to hell because we are led by a person who doesn’t know how to be a president and who is a liar”, the Vice President added this statement following her lamentations during an online press conference that President Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza Marcos, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, and Rep. Chua possibly discredited her name.
Lopez was once ordered to be detained last November 20 of the House panel citing her contempt for her vague answers during her first appearance before the House Committee on Good Governance.
