UP KEM Invites All for SNCEC
The University of the Philippines Chemical Engineering Society, Inc. (UP KEM) reveals the final details of the 15th Students’ National Chemical Engineering Conference’s (SNCEC) awaited symposium and dinner mixer on November 16, 2024, Saturday and the premier national Quiz show on November 17, 2024, Sunday.
The National Chemical Engineering Symposium (NACHES) will be held at the Institute of Biology Auditorium, in the UP Diliman Science Complex from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. NACHES is the premier symposium for chemical engineering students to explore timely topics in the field of Chemical Engineering. This year, the symposium features known engineers such as Engineer Arnel Cabungcal, Engineer Analyn Malapo, and Engineer Joanne Claire Baldomero Paring.
At night, the Students’ Chemical Engineering Networking Event (SCENE) will be at the UP Diliman College of Home Economics Gusali 2 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. SCENE catalyzes opening opportunities for chemical engineering students by introducing them to well-known engineering representatives in various industries. SCENE’s invited several national and multi-national companies such as Saltegra Consulting Philippines, Universal Robina Corporation, Monde Nissin Corporation, Unilever Philippines Inc., Flour Daniels, Inc. Philippines, Philippine Geothermal Production Company, Inc., and Schneider Electric.
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the 74th Inter-University Chemical Engineering Quiz Show (Inter-U) will be held at the Engineering Theater, Melchor Hall from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Inter-U will be judged by Lorenzo Angelo M. Mapalo, RCH.., Peter John M. Burgos, Engr. Ron Andrei Soriano, Engr. Louise Anne Quilay, and Dr. Donato S. Dela Cruz, PhD., as the competitors challenge to triumph on top in the different disciplines of chemical engineering.
Inter-U Case Study Competition is a national competition that serves as a platform for bright new ideas in the field of chemical engineering. The Case Study competition will be judged by Engr. John Von Wernher Dela Cruz, Chemist Jonas Marie Dumdum, and Engr. Patricia Malicse.
UP KEM SNCEC continues to be at the helm of immersing chemical engineering students within the industry. In its 15th year, SNCEC continues to pioneer the future of chemical engineering.
