This initiative was spearheaded by the alumni of Batch 1998, who decided to take on this “legacy project” to give back to their alma mater and address the growing mental health concerns among students.
The center was opened on January 9, 2025, originally a dilapidated office space that is transformed into a vibrant area designed to helo students relax.
Incorporating natural elements, bright colors, and comfortable furniture such as bean bags and couches, the former office is now a comfortable environment where students can take a break from studies.
Batch 1998, with the help of expert networks accomplished the project, investing over P2.5 million to create a space conducive to mental well-being.
The center is seen as a significant addition to the PSHS Main Campus, where the academic environment can sometimes take a toll on students’ emotional health.
According to the project head Dr. Faith Anne Buenaventura-Alcazaren, the alumni want to communicate that student life is more than getting good grades through the project.
