“Huwag lumabag sa batas, kasi kayo po yung magsisilbing leader so dapat kayo po ang manguna na sumusunod sa batas,” she reminded in a press briefing at Malacañang Palace on March 28.
Despite acknowledging their inability to dictate how the candidates will do their campaign, Castro also encouraged the electoral aspirants to take care of their own and constituents’ health as the heat index continues to rise all over the country.
She also nudged the Philippine National Police to stay apolitical during the campaign season and to avoid involvement with any campaigning activities.
The campaign period for the midterm elections has already kicked off on March 28 and is set to end on May 10, 2025 just two days before the 2025 midterm elections.
