Health Secretary Francisco Duque III remained silent
regarding President Rodrigo Duterte's statement about "many"
Filipinos taking a Chinese COVID-19 vaccine.
In Duterte's press briefing with the Inter-agency Task Force
(IATF) and health experts, Duque confessed his knowledge about the Sinopharm
vaccination activities is also limited.
"Hindi po ako makapagsalita nang kumpleto patungkol
dito dahil iyon lang din pong narinig niyo ang narinig ko," told the one
who 'dropped the ball' as per Senator Ping Lacson.
Prior to this, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr.
aired China has sent him a complaint about such presence in the country.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, accordingly, has already conducted
an investigation in Binondo after reports have pointed there.
To date, the probes in Binondo and Makati tallied no arrests
so far.
