After President Rodrigo Duterte mocked an official for having sexy photos when he was an actor, speculations arise that the president is giving a “double standard,”

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque defended this, saying that the president gave former sexy dancer Mocha Uson “a second chance” when he appointed her to the government.

“The President gave her a second chance, and I think she took advantage of the second chance,” Roque said.

Roque also said that when Uson was appointed, he never knew what her past was.

Recently, Duterte, in his weekly Talk to the People, called out a mayor for posing while in a “bikini” during his career as an actor.

“Nakita ko nga sa Facebook kanina, lahat nang naka-bikini ang g*** tapos may isang picture pa doon na sinisilip niya ‘yung ari niya,” Duterte said.

“Iyan ang gusto ninyo? Ang training parang para lang, parang call boy,” he added.

The president’s tirade was rumored to be for Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who became an actor during his youth.

The assumption strengthened as Duterte also said that he will remove a local government’s power to distribute cash aid after a messy vaccination system.

Last week, after a fake news saying “no vaccination, no ayuda (cash aid)” spreaded, residents in Manila and other cities rushed to vaccination sites, fearing that they will be affected by the fake policy.
