During his pre-recorded briefing, President Rodrigo Duterte made the remark as his explanation for his presence in Surigao del Sur after being hit by Tropical Storm Auring.
Before the conference, Duterte conducted an aerial inspection of Surigao del Sur, which reported one fatality in CARAGA Region.
November last year, #NasaanAngPangulo came on trend as Super Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses devastated several parts of Luzon landmass.
The Chief Executive then responded to his critics asking for his whereabouts and supposed inaction by saying the government is on top of the situation.
