Senator Leila De Lima On Wednesday decried President Rodrigo Duterte’s “mamatay ka na” tirade against Vice President Leni Robredo in one of his weekly national addresses to provide updates regarding the coronavirus outbreak in the Philippines.

In a dispatch from Camp Crame, De Lima said Duterte’s tirades were not a Freudian slip but a hallmark of murderers who don’t care if their acts will end in a senseless abuse.

“Duterte wishing VP Leni dead is no damn joke! It is exceedingly vile and evil, satanic and stupid, and extremely unpresidential. The Office of the President is the primary implementer of the Constitution’s design, not a murderer’s evil desire,” said de Lima.

“Hindi Freudian slip ‘yang sinabi niya. Tabas ‘yan ng dila ng mamamatay-tao. ‘Yang bunganga niya walang ibang lumalabas kundi pagpatay.

She finds nothing funny in what Duterte remarked, adding his new speech has done nothing but blackening Robredo.

She added Duterte should focus on the ongoing pandemic instead of focusing on rivals and elections.

De Lima said.

“Mr.
