“Bahala na COVID-19 sa kanila.”

This was what Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque had to say to the individuals who continued to refuse to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

In his press briefing on Monday, Roque was asked if there will be a program implemented by the government for those who want to remain unvaccinated.

“Ang programa po diyan sa ngayon siguro eh bahala na (‘yung) COVID-19 sa kanila kung ayaw nila magpabakuna (I guess the program for that, for now, is COVID-19 will take care of them if they don’t want to get vaccinated),” he pointed out.

Also, some employers and government officials offer incentives to the individuals to get COVID-19 shots.

Based on the datum presented by Social Weather Stations (SWS) last July, it appears that 21 percent of the Filipinos would choose to remain unvaccinated.

The Philippines has now administered 24,479,750 COVID-19 vaccine doses with 11,391,969 fully vaccinated of the two shots requirement for five of the six vaccine brands in the country’s inventory, as of August 8.
