Kiel Calvin "Oheb" Soriano of Blacklist International Mobile Legends Team will be facing penalties for "making a prohibited pose" after their match against Omega Esports where they swept the latter, 2-0.

Danerie John "Wise" Del Rosario was seen trying to stop him, but Oheb eventually broke free and flashed a middle finger in the camera which was quickly noticed by analysts and audiences alike.

In a statement, Blacklist International apologized for what happened, and that they will be deducting his salary.

"The management of Blacklist International would like to apologize to our fans, to OMEGA, and the rest of the MPL and ML community for the unsportsmanlike behavior that our player Oheb displayed after our match. The management has already talked to him in private about the matter and will issue a fine that will be deducted from his salary for his actions," the team said.

Soriano quickly apologized in their post-match interview for what he have done, stating "Gusto ko lang po humingi ng sorry d'on sa nagawa ko. No excuses, mali po talaga ang ginawa ko. Di po ako tino-tolerate ng teammates ko. Tatanggapin ko po kung ano ang consecquences sa nagawa ko. Penalty o kung ano man po. Sorry sa mga lahat ng nakakita, lahat ng nabastos. Maaassure ko po sa lahat na hindi ko na po ito gagawin."

Coach Bon "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza also apologized for what his player did, emphasizing that they will not be tolerating what happened and they are ready to face the sanctions applied.

Later that night, Mobile Legends Bang Bang Philippines published a statement as

"MPL-PH Operating Committee is aware of the abusive behavior made by OHEB of Blacklist International in W7D2, BLCK VS OMG. He has violated the following rule of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League - Philippines Season 8 Official Rules:
12.2.1. Making a prohibited pose

Considering the severity and scope of the issue, MPL-PH Operating Committee has decided to make such punishments for OHEB:

1. Suspension for two (2) MPL-PH S8 matches starting on the 9th of October
2. Penalty of $500

MPL-PH Operating Committee does not tolerate any form of abusive behavior in the league and we expect our professional players to follow a strict code of conduct. Let's work together to build a more mature and professional league."

With this, Oheb will not be playing against Bren this Sunday for their final game of the regular season, and their first playoffs series.

This is not the first time that a player was punished for disorderly behavior, as Omega Esports Duane "Kelra" Pillas was suspended on the first two weeks of regular season for homophobic remarks against OhmyV33nus and Wise from Blacklist.
