Reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez finally broke the silence about her breakup with her 6-year girlfriend, Kate Jagdon.

After receiving a lot of hate messages, the Cebuana beauty queen explained her viewpoint in a series of Instagram stories on Wednesday, February 16.

Gomez said she had been keeping quiet about the controversy to focus more on the 70th Miss Universe last December 11, 2021 where she landed Top 5.

"When I was on my way to the MUPH competition, after a series of confrontations I learned that she had already entertaining a person named Adam for over a year during our relationship, she's made out with someone, made a move on other girls, and have been going out more often than usual that there were even time she wouldn't come home for days," she said.

Mental health advocate Gomez admitted that it was hard for her to represent the country on the international stage under pressure, anxiety and depression after continuos harassment from Jagdon's followers, friends and family.

"Clout chasing is staying in a toxic relationship just to keep you people entertained," Gomez said addressing those who called her out for using LGBTQIA+ Community for clout.

Meanwhile, the beauty queen thanked all of her supporters who are present since the first day of her road to the crown.

Despite the break-up, Beatrice hopes for the best for Kate: " I did love her. I don't regret anything in the six year that we've been together. I loved her until the last day I was with her. We both deserve to be happy... genuinely happy."

The day before the revelation, Gomez surprised the pageant community that she already met her Valentine after sharing a photo with her Valentine date.
