This one’s for KarlTzy.

Echo Esports, headed by Hall of Legends jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, who helped Bren clinch the world title back in 2021, suffered a stinging loss against Evos in the first round of preliminaries, 2-1, yesterday.

“I am happy because I revenged my idol Karltzy,” KyleTzy said after the game.

Bren leaned on their prowess come mid-game as they wreaked havoc with a 14-1 death gap heading onto a lord fight.

Behind the latter heroics of Michael “Kyletzy” Sayson's (Julian) and Marco Stephen "Super Marco" Requitano's triple kill and legendary, Bren marched their way to the base turret alongside the lord for an EVOS wipeout and the match point.

Super Marco dealt 93,090 damage with a 9-0-8 KDA to lock in MVP honors while David “FlapTzy” Canon (Benedetta) and Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo (Ruby) contributed ample support of a 4-0-9 stat line and 16 assists, respectively

Game 2, however, was a different storyline for EVOS as the Indonesian team saddled on the back of Jabran “Branz” Wiloko’s Irithel, asserting supremacy all game long to force a rubber match with a 3-1-5 KDA.

With their tournament chances on the line, KyleTzy opted to flaunt his fatal form, snatching every turtle and lord retribution battle throughout game 3.

Revenge is best served cold, indeed for Bren, as they easily captured the base turret through a clean wipeout of the Neon Tigers.

The M2 champion’s jungler ceased the game with a 1-0-5 KDA while Owgwen chipped in eight assists.

This victory sets the stage for MPL Indonesia champions Onic ID and Bren slugfest in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
