DepEd collaborated with Go Negosyo to create a joint project to aid students with opportunities in developing skills and promote an entrepreneurial mindset through mentorship.
“Ang ginagawa ng Go Negosyo hindi lamang ‘yung tutoring pero ‘yung ecosystem ng ating ekonomiya, making it more conducive for entrepreneurs to thrive,” he added.
Angara exclaimed on December 5 at Rizal High School that Youthpreneur is a big opportunity to help students learn entrepreneurship.
“I hope you realize what a big opportunity this is for you, dear students, dahil not all of you can have the opportunity to interact personally with very successful businessmen,” he said.
This school-based mentoring program is designed to promote an entrepreneurial mindset and increase financial literacy.
It features inspirational talks, panel discussions, and forums led by Go Negosyo’s mentors where students can share knowledge about entrepreneurship.
Angara thanked the private sector for creating a conducive learning environment to students in becoming entrepreneurs.
“Being an entrepreneur is not easy. Even the most successful businessman came from humble beginnings, from a small start,” he noted.
The Youthpreneur program kicked off nationwide for nearly a year in several key cities and provinces, including Cebu, Baguio, and the National Capital Region.
Recently in the NCR, 11 senior high schools joined in the mentoring program with over 500 senior high school students at the Rizal High School in Pasig City.
