Alas Pilipinas fields a fresh mix of debutantes and veterans for the Vietnam tourney.

Outside hitter Brooke Van Sickle brings new energy to a retooled Philippine squad as they prepare to make waves in the VTV Cup 2025, set from June 28 to July 5 in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam. 


Leading a wave of fresh talent, 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino MVP officially makes her national team debut after completing her change-of-federation process, joining forces with fellow first-timers MJ Phillips and Tia Andaya in a dynamic new core for the women’s volleyball team, that aims to build on the country’s recent silver medal finish in the AVC Women’s Volleyball Nations Cup.

 Jia de Guzman, Eya Laure, and Dell Palomata, who were in the team in their last tournament, returns to the roster, with a new supporting cast featuring Alleiah Malaluan, Leila Cruz, Justine Jazareno,Mars Alba, Lams Lamina, Dawn Catindig, Maddie Madayag, and Amie Provido, to complete the 14-woman lineup.

Meanwhile, studs Vanie Gandler, Fifi Sharma, and Thea Gagate have been named as reserves.

Alas Pilipinas opens their Pool A campaign with a crucial match against host Vietnam on Sunday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m. (Manila time), followed by back-to-back assignments against Sichuan Wuliangchun (China) on June 30 at 5:30 p.m. and Australia on July 1 at 3:00 p.m.

The spotlight turns to a new generation of talent, anchored by experienced leaders, as Alas Pilipinas sets out to prove that its rise on the Asian volleyball stage is just beginning.
