The University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila) College of Arts and Sciences is collaborating with the Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science India (SIFS India) to introduce three new courses, aiming to promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through quality education, and peace, justice, and strong institutions.
In a Facebook post, the college announced open registration for foundation certification courses in Crime Scene Investigation, Insurance Fraud Investigation, and Private Investigation and Detective work.
Each month-long course will be led by experienced forensic experts, with enrollees receiving study materials and electronic certificates upon completion.
Registration is open until June 25 with a 50 dollar fee per course, and sessions will begin on July 1 and 2.
Furthermore, the collaboration will further expand through the 6th International Forensic Science Conference in December 2025 at UP Manila, with three other collaborating universities, including the University of Baguio, Holy Angel University, and Tarlac State University.
The conference will feature workshops, training sessions, and research presentations focused on complex challenges in criminal investigation.
SIFS India, established in 2006, is a leading forensic science institution working to promote justice and trust through scientific investigation.
With their extensive growth, they are collaborating with academic institutions worldwide to strengthen forensic education and investigation among aspiring forensic professionals and law enforcement professionals.
