PUP ADPR Students Wrap Up 33rd Grand AdClash with DAUNTRES on Top
The 33rd Grand AdClash culminated in a powerful display of creativity and strategy as DAUNTRES of BAPR 4-3D was declared this year’s champion. Held last June 26 at Robinsons Galleria, the annual culminating event featured final Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) campaign pitches from graduating Advertising and Public Relations (ADPR) students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Manila.
DAUNTRES took the spotlight after sweeping all major and special awards — including Best TV Commercial, Radio Ad, Jingle, Print, Digital Activation, Trade Activation, Media Plan, and IMC Campaign. Presenters Rammuel Samonte and Jose Luis Jasa earned the SwaBEST Presenter Award, while their mentor, Prof. Jhun Lacambra, was recognized as the SwaBEST Adviser.
Team leader Jhonathan Orlanda described the win as a deeply emotional journey, sharing, “Every time we create campaigns, our skills are tested — but this project tested our emotions and our bonds as a team. It was more than just a pitch.”
The event was organized by junior ADPR students, led by Angela Aurel as overall project head. Reflecting on the challenges of managing a major academic event, Aurel emphasized the value of staying grounded, saying, “The real challenge is how you respond and stay composed in the middle of it all.”
Project adviser Ms. Jamille Vergel de Dios praised the organizing team’s hunger to exceed expectations. “There was a real drive to raise the bar higher than ever before,” she shared.
The Grand AdClash continues to be a celebration of talent, grit, and innovation — giving future industry professionals a space to showcase their full potential before stepping into the real world.
