The voters should be careful of Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, in case he would run for president, because he will “sell you to the devil” when he gets the position, President Rodrigo Duterte said Tuesday.

“Be careful of Trillanes. Magbantay kayo. He will sell you to the devil. Kapag ‘yan ang nakaupo, patay,” Duterte said in a pre-recorded briefing in Surigao del Sur late Tuesday night.

Duterte, meanwhile, reiterated his opposition over the possible presidency of his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

The President said this when he was urged by Surigao del Sur Governor Alexander Pimentel to convince his daughter or his former aide and now Senator Christopher “Bong” Go to be his successor.

“Inday Sara is not running, I have really, really, put my foot down. I pity my daughter. The politics here is dirty,” Duterte said.

Pimentel said there should be “continuity” in policies so the achievements gained during Duterte’s tenure would not be wasted. He added an ally should continue his legacy.
