MANILA – Social media personality Jam Magno says she would vote Presidential Daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte or Senator Bong Go as President in the May 2022 National Elections if they opted to run but not Senator Manny Pacquiao.
In her recent minute-long video, the TikToker reiterated her reasons of not believing Senator Manny Pacquiao and now president of PDP-Laban, the political party of President Rodrigo Duterte, as the boxer-turned-politician is rumored to be gunning for the presidency in the 2022 elections.
"First of all, Sara Duterte only. Since she's not running, then I'm noy gonna force her right?" Magno said."Then there's Senator Bong Go who also doesn't wanna run. So, what am I to Do then?" she said.
Senator Manny Pacquiao who in 2016 has provoked a storm of controversy after saying people in same-sex relationships “are worse than animals” were also Jam Magno's cited reasons.
" I'm still not gonna vote for somebody who doesn't believe in the LGBTQIA+ community and their rights. I cannot really stand to that," she said.
Magno then launched into a tirade focusing on the absenteeism of the Senator, which according to July 2019 reports has the worst attendance record for senators in the 3rd and last session of the 17th Congress as it adjourned.
"Manny Pacquiao is not my President...l cannot stand with somebody that I just don't believe in...lf I'm going to trust the future of my son and my future in your hands as the President of the Philippines, I'm so sorry, Sir. Count me out. I'm just gonna inherit whoever wins but I hope it's not you," said the pro-government influencer.
Magno, who is a native of Butuan City in Mindanao and a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, gained popularity online for posting various minuter-videos on societal issues.
