An official from the National Task Force against COVID-19 said the organizers behind community pantry initiatives may adapt house-to-house aid distribution in a bid to avoid mass gatherings.

Maghahawaan po sila," National Task Force Adviser Dr. Ted Herbosa said.

Herbosa said the organizers must have coordination with local governments to ensure the minimum health protocols are still in place.

Pwede nating gawing ganun," he said.

Previously, Herbosa drew flak from the netizens over his response to the death of a senior citizen waiting in lines at a community pantry initiated by Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin. However, the official apologized and filed a resignation as an executive vice president of the University of the Philippines (UP).
