In a BusinessWorld poll of 15 inquisitors, the median projection for July inflation was 4%.

This will be the first time since December that inflation has remained under the 2-4 percent goal range of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

It would also be closer to the lower end of the BSP's July forecast of 3.9-4.7 percent.

Meanwhile, the consumer price index (CPI) increased at the slowest pace since December 2020, with a reading of 3.5 percent in July, down from 4.1 percent in June.

However, it is substantially faster than the 2.7 percent growth seen a year earlier.
