During a recent interview on ANC’s Headstart with Karen Davila on Thursday, Senatorial Aspirant and Actor Robin Padilla clarified his statement with regard to alleged cheating of actor Aljur Abrenica on his daughter Kylie Padilla.

In the said interview, Davila questioned Padilla’s statement last July 2021 with Ogie Diaz that it is ‘men's nature to cheat’ which quickly spread on social media, reaping mixed reactions from the public. Many criticized Padilla, saying that he was siding with his daughter’s husband on the alleged cheating issue.

He also added that it is impossible for men not to have these kind of thoughts towards other women. Wow.

Padilla also addressed why he said "mag-Muslim ka," saying it was because he wanted to use himself as an example as being a Muslim changed his perspective in life.

Padilla also further clarified that he did not mention "polygamy" instead, he wanted to deliver that if Aljur was to be a Muslim, it could change his mentality.

... Pero hindi ko kailanman sinabi na mang-cheat tayo man,” he said.

Aljur and Kylie married in 2018, after Kylie became pregnant in 2016 during the first season of Encantadia.

However, the couple announced their split in July 2021, Robin was first to confirm, followed by his daughter, who stated that Abrenica and her were "working on a healthy co-parenting relationship together" for their two sons.
