Solid supporters of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos and vice presidential aspirant and Davao City mayor Sara Duterte in Nueva Ecija chanted, "Hindi Kami Bayad," as the GMA News team caught them outside the governor 's residence handed with white envelopes reportedly containing P500 each.

According to Sandra Anguinaldo's report on the station's night newscast, "24 Oras," recipients didn't know what the envelopes were for.

Marcos and Duterte have not personally released their statements on this issue. Even Nueva Ecija governor Aurelio Umali has no-say yet.

But Bongbong's party, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, has already said it "abhor" the distribution of cash payments to attending supporters.

"Partido Federal ng Pilipinas is a disciplined political party! We abhor such action! That is not a policy in our core values and principles," secretary general Thompson Lantion said
