Robredo herself graced the ceremony at Angat Buhay Village in Brgy. Mauraro on Sunday, August 14, to formally hand over the housing units to the beneficiaries.

The Angat Buhay chairperson stated that this initiative was made possible by the bayanihan spirit, thanking its partner institutions for funding and assisting in providing homes for the recipients since its launching in December 2020.

“This was all made possible by bayanihan. Many thanks to our partners: the Local Government of Guinobatan, especially to now-Vice Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco; Architect Peach Buencamino of CC Buencamino Architect, our ever reliable partner who helped us lead the efforts in constructing these houses; United Architects of the Philippines - Daraga-Cagsawa Chapter; Bicol University College of Engineering and Department of Social Work; JCI Legazpi; and the late Mr. Nestor Deocareza, who helped us manage the project before he passed away,” she said in a Facebook post.

The former vice president also recalled the project's first day of construction, when she and her team were present to witness it off.

“Parang kailan lang, Day 1 pa lang ng construction, at kasama ako at ang OVP family sa mga nagbuhos ng semento sa mga unang units na bubuuin,” Robredo added.
