An episode in Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), a leading television company in South Korea, reported the incident on Thursday, August 18.

“Philippine Broadcasting, Eunhyuk's father's statue as an entertainment material,” a direct Google translation of its Korean written title in YouTube showed.

Recently, #CancelTropangLOL gained traction after netizens, particularly K-Pop fans, pointed out a supposed ‘insensitive’ question directed to the South Korean boy band ‘Super Junior.’

During the ‘’Maritest” segment of the noontime show, it was asked what K-pop group has cancelled its concert in the Philippines because the father of one of its member died.

Among the choices in the question K-Pop boy groups Super Junior, Seventeen, GOT7, and SHINee.

Just recently, Super Junior announced the postponement of its Manila concert scheduled on August 6, following the sudden passing of Eunhyuk's father a day before their concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
